Filming by Granada Television at Bramall Hall
Bramall Hall closed its doors for one day (Tuesday 6 September) for filiming
Bramall has been given a marvoullous opportunity to appear in a Granada Television production, a six part series called ‘Into the unknown’. This will be transmitted in a peak-time slot on Thursday nights on ITV1 Granada.
Each episode will be based on a mysterious and intriguing location in the North West and feature links to numerous tourist experiences across the region.
The producer will be recreating a number of stories and historical events, whilst the presenter talks you through the history, with the aid of actors and props to create the stories.
In conjunction with ‘Dreamscope’ (the production company), straight after the transmission date, Bramall will be organising a promotional weekend. These promotional dates will be advertised on the programme including opening times, prices, directions and many reasons why people should visit Bramall Hall.
Other filming opportunities
It would seem that Bramall Hall is attracting a lot of interest with film companies just at the moment.
Also on 15 August (evening only). Bramall hosted the grand reveal for ‘Extreme Makeover’ made for Living TV.
The star of the programme, a lady who lives in Stockport , underwent a large amount of plastic/cosmetic surgery and was then revealed looking gorgeous to her family and friends amid all the glitz at Bramall Hall .
It is also likely that ‘Most Haunted’ will be filmed at Bramall in the next month, yet another very popular programme.
All the filming involving Bramall should make for very enjoyable viewing.
