The Civil Marriage Ceremony

The Civil Marriage Ceremony can be tailor made to suit your wishes whether they are for a traditional or informal occasion. You can choose to enhance your ceremony with music, poetry or readings this must be non-religious.

The ceremony will take place in the impressive surroundings of the Great Hall. You are welcome to invite up to 75 guests to share you special day.

Ceremonies can be booked on any day of the week and your ceremony will be the only wedding taking place at any given time.

Ceremonies can take place at the following times:

• Monday to Sunday: Morning Ceremonies take place at 11.30am departing at 1pm.
• Monday to Saturday: Afternoon Ceremonies take place at either 4.15pm departing at 5.45pm.
  Departure must be at relevant time as stated above.

Civil Marriage Ceremony Hire Fee:

Prices applicable until 31st March 2012

• Ceremony only Weekday £525 facility fee
• Ceremony only Saturday and Sunday £935 facility fee

Prices applicable from 1st April 2012 to 31st March 2014

• Ceremony only Weekday £530 facility fee
• Ceremony only Saturday and Sunday £950 facility fee

Please note price subject to increase 1st April 2014.

Additional touches for your special day include:

• Exclusive hire of the Hall, and extensive use of the parkland and hall for your wedding photos
• Red carpet (weather permitting)
• The opportunity for your wedding guests to experience a guided tour of the magnificent Hall
• Two classic flower arrangements included in the booking
• Free guest parking
• The support of an experienced event co-ordinator to help you plan your special day

Drinks Reception
Celebrate your marriage in style following the ceremony with a drinks reception (courtyard optional), whilst having your photographs taken.

The Registrar
All arrangements for the ceremony itself are made directly between the couple to be married and the Registrar, who will deal with all the legalities of the marriage. Any readings or music requested must be agreed in advance and be of a non-religious content.
